Wooden Toys

Christof Beck started his company 1946.

After the end of the 2nd World War he couldn't practise his profession as a master mechanic, as there were no jobs for his profession.

To support his family, he fabricated simple wooden toys, a hobby he already practised during his war captivity. The toys were delivered to kindergartens and homes.

In the current programme some articles are no longer existent, as they were partially fabricated labour-intensive and couldn't be sold anymore nowadays (e.g. small sewing boxes, small folding chairs).

In the aftermath he improved already existing toys, e.g. a scale of chimes was integrated to the ball roller coaster, a small box for the pegs was added to the puzzle game.

Over the years he designed many new articles e.g. a doll's house, a store, agricultural machines, wobbler, multi-storey car park, traffic signs, car-wash plant.

Accuracy is one of his characteristics. The toy has to be worked accurately and soundly.

Since 1966 80 articles were awarded the 'spiel gut' award by the game and toy comittee.

One height was the award 'Form' for the special exhibition at the intenational 'Herbstmesse' in Frankfurt in the year 1983.

Further awards followed in 1984 and 1987. The invention of a track for centipedes and cars was one of the greatest successes.

The wooden toys are shown at the 'International Toy Fair' in Nürnberg and at international trade fairs in Frankfurt and are delivered worldwide.
